JENNIFER ROSENDALE

OWNER, ARTIST, Liscensed Massage Therapist Yoga Instructor (200 hour certification)

My intention at Samadhi Art Studio is to create a balanced and integrated space that supports a clients journey back to wholeness.
— Jennifer Rosendale

Jennifer is the owner and operator of this small “cottage business.” She opens her home and studio to her community and encourages clients to learn more about “building a space within themselves” for their “creative flow” while learning cold glass art techniques in cutting, nipping, grinding, and grouting glass. Her artwork began as a way of creating a more whimsical space within her home garden. Initially, it started out with stained glass images grouted in old recycled wooden windows. Later it evolved into a variety of styles; from leaf casting birdbaths to mosaic art. Today, she shares her ingenuity and creativeness with others who wish to develop their own creative processes.

She is a licensed massage therapist and professional bodyworker of 20 years. She has a deep connection to nature, and simple living through self sustainable actions. Samadhi Art Studio is small home based business that caters to local community through teaching integrative practices in Mind, Body, and Spirit. She honors the sacredness of the soul and it’s journey through life.

In 2003 Jennifer found training in Thai massage and at the same time began her yoga practice as a way of maintaining her health while meeting the physical demands of bodywork.

In 2004 she went to the Institute of Meridian Therapy and Reflexology in Olympia to further her understanding of the meridians (energy lines) within the body and their connection to the feet and hands.

2009 Jennifer Rosendale began a practice in Qi Gong and pranayama breath work which has provided for a lovely fusion to her personal yoga practice.

In 2013 Jennifer began her 200 hour teacher training in yoga. This opened the door for further teaching both clients and individuals in the community that were ready for deeper more self sustainable personal practices.

Jennifer’s first introduction in life to yoga was through a meditation practice know as Transcendental Meditation. This was her primary practice through childhood until she went to the Northwest Vipassana Center in 2017 where she began her disciplined practice in Vipassana with a ten day silent retreat in meditation for up to 10 hours a day. This particular technique of meditation closely resembled a guided meditation in Yoga known as Yoga Nidra.

Both meditative practices have shown to provide for significant changes in the neuro- pathways of the brain while building more dense tissue within the prefrontal cortex, at the same time reducing the size of the amygdala which is widely known as the area of our brain that holds our fear response.

She knows firsthand the benefits and necessity of healing arts for one’s mind, body and spirit. You will find her here as an apprentice instructor in our Yoga and Art classes.
